Cattleya Luciana C

This is a primary hybrid between Cattleya luteola and Cattleya warscewiczii. This cross combines the compact nature of C. luteola with the large, showy flowers of C. warscewiczii, resulting in a highly collectible, warm-growing Cattleya.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Provide the maximum amount of light without burning the leaves; leaves should be light green, not dark green.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to warm. Day: 72-82°F (22-28°C). Night: 61-68°F (16-20°C). A distinct day/night temperature drop is essential for initiating bloom spikes.
  • Humidity: Medium to high (60-80%). Must be accompanied by strong air movement to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the potting medium to approach dryness before watering again. Use a well-draining mix of bark and perlite. Reduce frequency during the cooler winter months when growth slows.

Additional Notes

This medium-sized plant, produces large, often fragrant, cream flowers. It is a very rewarding hybrid known for its impressive blooms.
